For the Festival Goers

As festival season is approaching, the fashion style tips and trends are endless. Festivals are awesome especially in spring and summer when everyone is getting excited for the warmer weather. It’s hot and everyone is happy, dancing in fields. I’ve put together some things to remember when preparing for Coachella, Fyre, Mysteryland or Burning Man..  from one festy goer to another.

Throwback to me at Mysteryland, Summer 2015

This year, my big upcoming festival is Fyre Festival. It’s a new festival that you may have seen being advertised on your Facebook and Instagram feeds featuring celebs like Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, and Alessandro Ambrosio. This particular festival is a one-of-a-kind immersive experience in music, culture, art, culinary delights and luxury for an unprecedented event over two weekends. I’m going with friends for the first weekend at the end of April and have already created a Pinterest board for fashion inspiration. Packing for festivals is hard enough because you have to plan each outfit ahead of time and really think it through. The last thing you want is an oversized bag with zillions of crop tops and shorts and trying to get ready with no mirror. I’m sure every festival goer gets it.

Boho inspo. It’s my take that you can never get to boho-hippie for festivals.

It’s hard enough making travel plans out to the desert of Coachella or the white sand beaches of Fyre Cay, so thinking about packing and what to bring can be impossible.

Shades, shades, shades. Bring at least 2 pairs!

While the musical line-up is top priority, festival fashion is a close second. I find these images of beachy, boho looks give me inspiration when shopping online or browsing for the right accessories. Little bikinis, head scarfs, oversized glasses, and long beach hair are enough to help create a one-of-a-kind festival look. Throw on a printed kimono or keep one in your effortlessly cool fanny pack or back pack to give you some serious wanderlust.

Bring a head scarf or two. They’re multipurpose and perfect for festivals
Oyes swimwear. On my list for Fyre. Accessorize with hat and necklace

For Fyre, I’m most excited that the festival has partnered with ZERO to bring artists Lee Burridge (one of my favorite DJs), Rampue, Bedouin, Niconé, Daniel Cowel, Jan Blomqvist, Lovecraft, Bo, and Stephanie Roxanne to Fyre’s “Pirate’s Cove” stage. Also, Blond:ISH (another favorite), Tensnake, and Beto Abrahão will also perform.

If you haven’t already, start listening to the music now so you know the songs

The countdown begins! I hope all these fashion tidbits help you as you plan ahead for festival season.

Stay active, stay happy and party on for my favorite, festival season.
