When it Rains on the Moonlit Streets of NYC

Parents visited New York this week for a tradeshow. Mum killed it as usual at the Javits Center where she sold our new designs of Jacaranda Living sleepwear, toiletries, tissue box covers, hand embroidered towels, shower caps and more. I loved getting dinner with her during the week at our old favorite restaurant, Room Service. They have delicious Thai food. I got the massaman curry with chicken and veggies!

Mum & me at the trade show. She was so busy she needed me to rescue her to take a short bathroom break!

The next night my dad came to visit and we went to an awful restaurant called Carbone in midtown on 38th and 9th ave. DO NOT GO HERE!!! You can check out our awful experience from reading my review on Yelp. Terrible place, they served such bland tasteless food that we left our untouched entrees and went to Mercato, an Italian place we’ve been to next door. I LOVE Mercato! They were a lifesaver and served us authentic homemade delicious pasta. I got fettuccine pesto. Thinking of Carbone makes me sick. They lied to us that they were affiliated to the main Carbone downtown. No relation whatsoever!

bye mum and dad

After our goodbye, they snuck away to get ice creams…without me!

Anyways, the night after Mercato ended with a cruise through Times Square with my parents in the rain! So beautiful with all of the lights. Love them!
